By scanning the medication or related product barcode, the User receives information on how and when to take the medication, based on pharmacotherapeutic general guidelines, as well as notifications issued by the app. In addition to this general information, when the user add some medication, the software also analyse possible drug-to-drug interactions or therapeutic duplications with the ongoing treatment. Once registered, Users can securely grant remote access to their account to third parties, such as healthcare professionals or informal caregivers. All information provided in the Application is strictly for private, non-commercial use. Furthermore, the information presented DOES NOT CONSTITUTE medical advice, recommendations to purchase, sell, contract, or PRESCRIBE treatments. It does not replace professional medical consultation when needed. 2. User Registration
To begin using the Application, the User may register using only their phone number, or alternatively, use the Application anonymously without registering; however, all data will be deleted once the User logs out.
3. Application Features
3.1 Add a Medication
To add a medication to their treatment plan, the User must scan the medication’s barcode. If barcode scanning is unsuccessful, the User may search for the medication by name using the search bar. If the medication still cannot be added, the User can report the missing item directly to the support team through the Application.
3.2 Therapeutic Information
Once a medication is added, the Application provides generic information such as its therapeutic indication, use recommendations and posology guidelines, such as dosage, daily intake, schedule, and any other specific use instructions. Note: This information reflects the most common use cases and aims to assist Users with treatment adherence. It should never be interpreted as a prescription, as it does not account for the User’s individual medical condition. The User will then be asked to confirm these details. Upon confirmation, the Application will manage medication reminders through alarms and notifications according to hours and scheduled defined.
3.3 Treatment Management
The Application also checks for medication interactions or duplications. When a medication is added, Terah software's check this medication with the others that the user already has in their current treatment. If it identifies an overlap, meaning drugs for the same purpose, it provides that information to the User, allowing them to set up alerts based on that information. For drug-to-drug interactions we follow the same principle. If there is a well-founded interaction in the scientific literature between an active drug and another that the user wishes to add, which causes a significant therapeutic impact, the user is given instructions on how to proceed or is advised to consult the information leaflet or directly a doctor or pharmacist. In case of doubt about any of these technical/scientific points communicated, the User should consult a doctor or pharmacist or check the package leaflet of the drug.
3.4 Biometric and Health Parameters
The Application includes a section for recording health data. If the User wishes, they may update the following information:
  • Weight
  • Height
  • Gender
  • Date of Birth
  • BMI (automatically calculated)
  • Glycemia
  • Cholesterol
  • Blood pressure
  • Triglycerides
  • Glycated hemoglobin
  • Hemoglobin
  • Uric acid
3.5 Sharing Your Account with a Healthcare Professional or Informal Caregiver
TERAH allows Users to grant secure access to their account to a healthcare professional, enabling them to review the active treatment and adjust the dosage as needed. To share their account, the User must navigate to the Users section and click Share Account, generating a QR code. When shared, this code enables another user to access the account. Alternatively, an external user may enter the registered contact number to gain access remotely. This feature also allows informal caregivers to assist Users in properly managing their treatment.
3.6 Pharmacy Integration
TERAH enables Users to receive, directly in the Application, the medications purchased at participating pharmacies, as well as the dosage instructions settle in the prescription. Medication reminders are then automatically scheduled according to the prescribed dosage; the User only needs to activate them. To enable this feature, the User must request activation at a participating pharmacy. After expressing interest, the User will receive a 4-digit code via SMS. By sharing this code with the pharmacy, the User authorizes the information exchange between the pharmacy and TERAH. This consent remains active until the User requests deactivation. Additionally, the User may submit product orders directly to the pharmacy through the Application. The pharmacy can then prepare the order remotely, making it available for in-store pickup or home delivery (if permitted by current legislation).
